Job Title: Locum Pharmacy Dispenser
Location: Ipswich
Job Type: Locum (Temporary)
Hours: 2530 hours per week (Flexible Scheduling Available)
Rate: Competitive hourly rate (dependent on experience)
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Locum Pharmacy Dispenser to support a busy and friendly community pharmacy in Ipswich. This is a flexible locum position offering 2530 hours per week ideal for someone looking to supplement their hours or work part-time in a professional and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Accurately dispense medications under the supervision of a registered pharmacist
Ensure prescriptions are prepared safely and in accordance with legal and professional guidelines
Provide excellent customer service and advice to patients and the general public
Maintain a clean organised and well-stocked dispensary area
Manage stock levels check for expired medicines and assist with inventory control
Handle confidential patient information in line with GDPR and pharmacy protocols
Assist with general pharmacy duties as required
Requirements:
NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent qualification) essential
Previous experience in a community pharmacy setting essential
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
GPhC registration (if applicable)
Right to work in the UK
