Job Description
Compensation:100K to 120K
Environment:Rockville MD (Hybrid)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee monthly cash lease and debt accounting ensuring journal entries are accurate.
- Review and validate monthly account reconciliations; promptly resolve discrepancies and provide supporting documentation.
- Supervise the preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements explaining variances from prior periods.
- Manage unvouchered liabilities by collaborating with the purchasing department to identify and correct issues for accurate reporting.
- Establish and monitor staff performance goals assigning accountabilities setting objectives and providing feedback and recognition.
- Supervise JDE fixed asset accounting processes ensuring assets are recorded in service and depreciated per company policy and US GAAP balance fixed asset sub-ledger and general ledger.
- Review debt compliance schedules for accuracy and adherence to loan documentation.
- Collaborate with the General Ledger Team to create closing schedules and resolve issues impacting financial results.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation ad hoc reporting and financial analyses; provide information for the annual audit.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree in accounting
- 4 years of experience (Public Accounting CPA highly preferred)
