POSITION SUMMARY

The Sales Director Thermal Services is responsible for the sales growth and strategic vision of thermal service and parts across North America. They will lead the team to achieve sales objectives through formulating market specific sales strategies sharing best practices managing customer satisfaction supporting the corporate strategies closely collaborating with operations and engaging in closing large deals. A key part of the role is to establish senior level relationships with office leaders and customers as the face of Vertiv.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drives sales growth in thermal service and parts with focus on key clients and large project opportunities.
  • Provides large project sales leadership to maximize Vertiv win rate including understanding of competitive situation winning price point and overall sales strategy.
  • Provides thermal business account management in partnership with dedicated account managers for select key accounts.
  • Provides customer advocacy by understanding the barriers to being successful for individual deals and utilize your role to bring the right solution to bear on the issue to close the deal.
  • Drives success through the Vertiv sales offices by understanding the barriers to selling and work with Vertiv leadership to optimize the selling process for aftermarket thermal solutions.
  • Strategizes with each sales office to implement the Vertiv sales strategies within their unique business to drive thermal service share of wallet.
  • Develops market specific business development plans enabling each market to capitalize on the right resources based on their individual needs.
  • Forges new and strengthens existing senior relationships with key customers to drive aftermarket thermal solutions based on configured solutions designed to meet their individual needs.
  • Manages technical resource team that designs configures scopes and prices market facing thermal service solutions.
  • Coaches a team of Business Development Managers singularly focused on driving thermal upgrade turnkey

and contact opportunities leveraging technical expertise and specific market knowledge.

  • Works with Technical Sales Managers to provide sales insight and ensure proposals are align with our customers needs
  • Provides industry feedback to product managers for product improvements and roadmaps

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS/BA degree required.
  • 12 years sales experience working with high profile accounts.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate and close complex transactions with multiple decision makers.
  • Detail oriented with the ability to manage and prioritize leads through multiple channels.
  • Excellent organizational analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • An effective motivator with an enthusiastic desire to succeed.
  • High degree of independent judgment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix management environment and with all levels within the organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA and/or Engineering degree.
  • Understanding of HVAC productscritical environments service offerings and clients.

PHYSICAL & ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS

  • Frequent driving.

TIME TRAVEL REQUIRED

  • 50%
