We are seeking a skilled RMA Technician to join our Customer Support team. This hands-on role is responsible for performing computer hardware and software troubleshooting on the bench at customer sites and also via the telephone or e-mail. You will work directly with customers to resolve technical and mechanical issues related to Systels rugged computer systems.
This role reports to the Customer Support Manager. This position requires up to 20% travel and the ability to work independently under pressure while upholding the highest standards of technical support and customer service.

Key Responsibilities
Provide support for RMA (Return Material Authorization) repairs including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues both on the bench and at customer sites when necessary.
Apply technical knowledge to troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electronic problems on-site on the bench and remotely.
Accurately log repair activities diagnostic procedures and resolutions in the RMA MAX system
Guide customers through setup operation and maintenance of Systel equipment.
Collaborate with vendors to resolve hardware/software issues.
Contribute to internal technical knowledge bases and participate in regular reviews of customer support trends and challenges.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment and ensure all technical documentation is thorough and up to date.
Perform all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or technical school diploma in Computer Science Electronics or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience in a technical field related to computer hardware or systems testing.
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing computer hardware and electronic systems.
Familiar with the use of diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes and multimeters.
Working knowledge of circuit boards processors chips operating systems and Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to fully repair configure and test computer systems.
Excellent organizational skills and work ethics.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to travel up to 20% to customer sites with short notice.
Familiarity with industry standards and certifications relevant to rugged computing and military desirable.
US Citizenship required.
