Job Description

Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems and Automation
Hendrix College is seeking to fill a full-time 12-month administrative staff position. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment and Director of Financial Aid the Associate Director of Financial Aid Systems and Automationis responsible for managing all functional technology used in the life cycle of the student aid recipient. The Associate Director manages all daily weekly monthly and annual report generation. Report reviews corrective action yearly updates and serving as a liaison with Technology services are required duties. Maintaining a thorough understanding of guidance governing federal state and institutional policies is required as is the ability to disseminate this information to all constituents. This position will supervise student workers and will include training of all financial aid staff on new technologies.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain and facilitate the data flow between administrative systems and outside systems.
  • Assist in managing implementing and maintaining core federal student financial aid processes.
  • Complete verification packaging tracking and communication with students.
  • Collaborate with other departments including but not limited to Billing Registrar Academic Advising and Admissions to provide effective customer service and assist with enrollment services on campus.
  • Other duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read interpret and implement complex regulations. Preference to a strong understanding of Title IV regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills to maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the office.
  • An ideal candidate will have experience working with Powerfaids/ Slate/Department of Education products.
  • Ability to represent the department and College in a friendly courteous and professional manner.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office required.
EDUCATION:Bachelors Degree required masters preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Three to five years experience working in student financial aid in a college/ university setting.
SKILLS: Experience with data imports/ exports. Proficiency with Excel. Ability to align tech with institutional goals. Ability to solve problems and be a self-motivated learner.
