How You Will Achieve It
Drive process improvement through automation and optimization. Rigorously analyze current workflows across teams to identify opportunities for global standardization and automation. Evaluate processes for bottlenecks manual tasks and areas where automation can yield the greatest impact.
Bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions accelerating innovation and operational efficiency.
Design build and implement innovative automated solutions to streamline manual or repetitive tasks reduce errors and improve data accuracy using platforms like Power BI Power Automate Power Query Python SQL Office Scripts etc.
Continuously explore and evaluate innovative finance technology solutions emerging technologies industry trends and best practices in finance to transform finance work.
Develop and test automation scripts and workflows while ensuring completeness accuracy and quality of deliverables and documentation.
Provide leadership in innovation by participating in programs such as the Navigator Citizen Developer Program peer mentoring and by providing training and support to colleagues to drive digital transformation across the finance organization.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth adoption of new automated processes. Clearly communicate underlying methodologies to provide transparency for stakeholders.
Maintain records supporting files/documentation complete/accurate work instructions and necessary compliance documentation in an organized manner.
Work under general supervision using own judgment where needed and make decisions to resolve moderately complex problems with short term impact within the team.
Ensure activities are performed to a high standard of operational excellence established service level agreements and deadlines are met and adhere to defined process/control requirements.
Engage directly with all business partners on complex activities and deliverables; maintain effective relationships with business partners.
Utilize strong understanding of accounting principles and departmental knowledge to achieve assigned work.
Ensure strong commitment to the control environment through training and review to meet all control and compliance requirements.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Applicant must have a bachelors degree in accounting or a closely related field with at least 3 years of experience; OR a masters degree in accounting or a closely related field with more than 1 year of experience; OR an associates degree with 6 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 8 years of relevant experience.
Excellent presentation verbal and written communications skills.
Experience in Controllers Global Accounting required) providing a strong foundation in technical accounting principles finance processes problem solving and the control environment.
Strong communication and relationship building skills with an ability to foster collaboration knowledge sharing and continuous improvement essential for working with diverse teams and effectively conveying technical concepts.
Experience working in a complex operating environment capable of balancing multiple priorities leading through ambiguities influencing without direct authority and building on unstructured formative situations.
Demonstrated proficiency in developing Microsoft 365 Power applications for business use cases and high aptitude to learn and apply new applications or programming languages.
Demonstrated experience in SAP S/4 HANA Oracle FCCS and Cadency
Proven ability to identify automation opportunities lead innovation initiatives and deliver measurable improvements.
Proven ability to drive process improvements automation and operational efficiencies.
English proficiency.
Nice-to-Have
Advanced degree in accounting data analytics and information technology a plus.
Experience in programming languages such as Python or SQL a plus.
Experience in other Pfizer finance systems such as payroll Quantum Ariba a plus.
Experience with process improvement and digital project management frameworks (e.g. lean agile) preferred.
