Job Description
Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Teacher Aide in the Butler area.
Lifesteps is a non-profit human services organization which has been serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years by helping individuals and families with lifes changing needs. The Agency provides programs and services to help those with special needs live to their fullest potential. Position Summary:
The Teacher Aide provides a high quality of care to enrolled children. Ensures the needs of the children are being met and assists in the implementation and direction of daily routines and activities.
This part-time position works Monday through Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm with weekends off!
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Candidate shall meet one of the following criteria:
- Possession of a Child Development Associates (CDA) certificate
- Completion of at least 2 years of full-time postsecondary study (60 credits) in a related field
- Possession of an associates degree or higher
- Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks
- Possess strong communications skills (verbal and written); able to communicate information to a diverse audience
Preferred:
- One or more years experience teaching in an integrated classroom setting
- Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education
- Private Academic Teacher Certification in Nursery/Kinder
