To ensure compliance with all aspects of phase(PYP/MYP/DP) keeping IB accreditation up to date at all times.
To lead and inspire IB practitioners being a professional and personal proponent of the IB philosophy.
ROLE
Facilitate and implement the use of phase (PYP/MYP/DP) Planners for all planning. Actively monitor and support teachers in ensuring these are kept up to date.
Remain up to date with the latest publications and filling out all the documentation requirements concerning the programme (email IB documents standards and practices procedures and declarations)
Ensure that any school decisions and publications with regards to IBO are well-known to all the teaching staff members
Establish collaborative planning sessions using Phase planners
Create and publish the school s POI
Lead and review the school s scope and sequence documents (curricula syllabi procedures and policies)
Ensure that essential agreements are formulated for assessment and for teaching and learning language
Participate in the formation of of the school s strategic development plan
Create any missing or required school documents and policies revising the previous documents in order for those to meet all the IBO requirements
Supervise and support the teachers responsible for and the students involved in the PYP exhibition in the final year of the programme (Year ) if appropriate to phase
Ensure celebration of Learner Profile in line with the schools Positive Behaviour Model if appropriate to phase
Professional Development:
Alongside the Leadership Team implement and lead professional development sessions throughout the academic yearensuring training is up to date for accreditation and re-authorization.
Ensure that staff members are made aware of professional development opportunities
Make recommendations regarding professional opportunities in and out of school
Assist teams and individuals in developing and documenting student inquiries
Organize and send staff to PYP/MYP/DP workshops as appropriate
Invite PYP/MYP/DP trainers into the school as appropriate.
Share with other IB schools successful planners unit banks videos and books examples of good IB practice and expertise with visits being made to schools which have a reputation for good teaching
Lead manage and support staff on a day to day basis - ensure school policies and procedures are implemented
Provide time when teachers can plan and reflect together (start middle and end of unit)

Oversight of Curriculum progression from EY to Primary
Lead/organise coordinate with subject leads re subject student activity events
Ensuring quality of the learning environment especially in regards Subject areas
Oversight of planning of academic trips
Production of the Student and Parent Handbook
Gathering parental feedback of teaching and learning
Supporting creation of School timetable
Setting cover for teachers to ensure quality of learning
Deliver Staff Inset
Support School promotion activities.
Communication with parents including meeting them
Collaborating with Parent Relations Officer
Oversight of health and safety
Proofreading of school documents
In addition to management responsibilities to take on a teaching role in the school
Formal teaching qualification required e.g. Bachelors degree in Education; Masters degree in education/leadership advantageous
Familiar with UK curriculum IB experience required
At least 2 years experience in relevant roles
Ideally from an English-speaking country
Qualified Teacher Status required
Proactive team-orientated socially adept and committed to children s well being
Commitment to and understanding of Child Protection and Safeguarding.
Clean and clear background check. (necessary)
Education
Minimum of Bachelor Degree in subject area, Master preferred Certified Teacher qualification and Registration
