a leading supplier of quality construction building materials in the United States has immediate openings for a 1st Shift Fixed Plant Electrician/Mechanic to support operations at Millville Quarry. This position will be responsible for the diagnosis repair and maintenance of a wide variety of fixed electrical equipment mechanical equipment systems and machinery. This entails inspecting the premises performing routine maintenance and fixing any faulty wiring. Replacing electrical appliances is necessary so the ability to read blueprints and abide by the National Electric Code is essential. Perform high voltage switching and operate generators in support of operations. Work safely and cooperatively with co-workers and the public. This position typically works from 6:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. Overtime will be required and shift may be adjusted for business needs.
WHAT YOULL BE DOING
Installing and maintaining electrical wiring.
Routinely walking the plant to inspect electrical and mechanical.
Troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems including wiring circuits and electrical panels
Communicate with Plant Management on a daily basis to discuss items in need of repair.
Maintain electrical/mechanical systems associated with crushers Conveyor belts pulleys pumps screens and screen bearings.
Prior to undertaking any diagnosis or repair conduct a job safety assessment.
Analysis to identify and isolate any hazards such as energy (lock-out tag-out) working at heights confined spaces etc.
Always ensure all safety guards are on equipment when it is energized.
Report all incidents accidents near misses and first aid events to supervisor.
Attend and actively participate in regular safety toolbox talks production meetings and trainings
Adhere to all Company Safety Environmental and Compliance.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Required Work Experience: A minimum of three years of experience performing the functions listed above in a construction building materials manufacturing or industrial environment.
West Virginia Journeymen electrician certification (preferred)
Experience with troubleshooting/installation 120V 480V electrical systems
PLC and relay logic troubleshooting experience a plus.
Proficient in hydraulic electrical and pneumatic systems.
Welding skills are desirable.
Strong safety-orientation
Ability to work overtime.
Ability to lift 50lbs

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE") including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests
