Working closely with the Head of Strategic Growth the Business Development Manager & Estimator is responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities while preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders. This role requires a strategic approach to client engagement market analysis and bid development to drive revenue growth and ensure competitive pricing strategies.
The ideal candidate will combine strong relationship management skills with technical expertise in estimating and proposal development.
An overview of your responsibilities will include the below:
Prospect for the acquisition of new business across core industries as determined by the business.
Lead the production of estimating for new and existing customers in tender responses quotations and business proposals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients partners and industry stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to refine estimates and proposals.
Conduct market research and competitor analysis to inform business development strategies.
Negotiate contract terms pricing and scope with clients in collaboration with the Head of Strategic Growth.
Provide reporting on business development sales performance and customer analysis as required by the business.
Stay up to date with industry trends emerging opportunities and best practices in estimating and business development.
Maintain CRM (Hubspot) and other business development tools to allow transparency within activity and customer profile.
Collaborate with the operations team and internal stakeholders to maintain customer retention.
Provide estimating support to other business units as directed.
Promote a harmonious and inclusive workplace free of discrimination harassment and bullying.
Contribute to the development of a culture of continuous improvement.
About you:
Minimum 3 years experience in estimating within the cleaning industry business development or related roles.
Strong understanding of cost estimating methodologies bid preparation and contract negotiation.
Excellent communication presentation and networking skills.
Proficiency in estimating software CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyse financial data project costs and market trends.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to travel
Proven ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy in a high-pressure deadline-driven environment.
Well-developed time management skills.
Qualifications :
You must have full work rights within Australia
A current clear Police Check
