Job Description
Sports Direct is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Temporary Sales Assistant to join our team in London United Kingdom. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced retail environment helping customers find the perfect sports equipment and apparel for their needs.
- Provide exceptional customer service assisting shoppers with product selection and enquiries
- Maintain a clean and organised sales floor ensuring products are properly displayed and stocked
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system
- Assist with inventory management including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction
- Stay informed about product ranges promotions and store policies to provide accurate information to customers
- Assist with visual merchandising to create attractive and effective product displays
- Handle customer returns and exchanges in line with company policies
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge particularly in sports and fitness equipment
Qualifications :
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Strong communication abilities both verbal and written
- Basic numeracy skills for handling cash and processing transactions
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
- Enthusiasm for sports and fitness with knowledge of related products (preferred)
- Previous retail experience particularly in a sports or fashion environment (preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Keen eye for detail in maintaining product displays and store presentation
