Job Description

Union: Non Union 
Site: Toronto Western Hospital
Department: Emerygency Medicine
Work Model: Hybrid
Reports to: Administrative Coordinator 
Grade: A0:05
Hours: 21 hours per week
Shifts: Flexible Hours 
Status: Permanent Part-time
Closing Date: June 30 2025

Position Summary


Key Responsibilities:

  • Answering emails: Managing incoming and outgoing communication.
  • Filing and record keeping: Maintaining organized and accurate electronic records.
  • Data entry: Entering information into computer systems.
  • General office support: Assisting with expense reimbursements.
  • Preparing correspondence: Drafting letters emails and other documents.
  • Assisting with projects: Providing support for special projects as needed. 

Qualifications :

  • Completion of Grade 12 or recognized equivalent.
  • Six (6) months recent related experience.
  • Completion of a medical OHIP billing program or recognized equivalent an asset.
  • Previous on-the-job computer/word processing and database software experience
  • Experience in a Microsoft Office software environment preferred.
  • Experience working in a health care environment an asset.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Ability to produce work in accordance with Hospital standard.s
  • Ability to use good judgment in assessing difficult situations.
  • Ability to perform routine work independently.
  • General knowledge of processes procedures and standards.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology an asset.
