- Operate a planned preventative maintenance program to ensure the building plant and equipment is maintained to a high level of comfort and safety.
- Prioritize work schedules in accordance with guest needs.
- Ensure that preventive maintenance software system is fully utilized by the team and hotel departments.
- Take full responsibility for the Engineering function in the absence of the CE making decisions and communicating results to other department heads to ensure the dept provides a seamless service at all times.
- Motivate team and seek continuous improvement of policies and service practice.
- Maintain an effective engineering stores system.
- Ensure accurate records are completed and maintained for Utility readings training and work schedules.
- Supervise and control line staff and contractors ensuring optimum performance efficient and safe working procedures.
- To comply with all health & safety policies and fire regulations ensuring documentation is up to date.
- To report any incidents/accidents to the Duty Manager and prepare incident report as necessary.
- Hold daily team meeting to discuss priorities and schedules.
- Knowledge of and compliance with Accor minimum standards.
Qualifications :
- Must be able to speak read write and understand English.
- Requires good communication skills both verbal and written.
- Must have knowledge of all types of mechanical equipment such as chillers boilers water treatment and refrigeration equipment.
- Must have knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems power water and gas supplies.
- Must have experience in office procedures ordering materials record keeping systems applicable building laws building construction blueprint reading etc.
- Working knowledge of occupational safety and health wage and hour issues and labor relations.
- Must possess good computer skills.
