Were hiring a Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team at a well-established mining operation located in beautiful Northern New York. What Youll Do:
- Champion workplace health and safety compliance focusing on MSHA regulations
- Develop and implement safety policies procedures and training programs
- Conduct regular risk assessments and workplace inspections (surface and underground)

Lead accident investigations and document findings
- Accompany MSHA inspectors during quarterly and unscheduled site visits

Evaluate hazards and recommend solutions to minimize risk

Coordinate annual physicals and hearing tests for employees

Support and maintain weekly/monthly health & safety reporting
- Maintain detailed and organized records of safety training inspections and compliance

Collaborate across departments to foster a strong safety culture
- Stay up to date on local state federal and MSHA health and safety regulations
What Were Looking For:
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Proven experience with MSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance

Strong organizational skills; able to multitask and meet deadlines
- Comfortable using computers to track reports and communicate effectively

Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills

Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
Nice-to-Have:

Previous experience in mining or industrial settings

MSHA Trainer Certification
