We are actively hiring a Construction Cost Estimator II to support a major energy client in the Houston area. If youre experienced in cost estimating project management and construction planning this opportunity is for you.
What Youll Do:
- Develop conceptual and detailed cost estimates from preliminary project documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers architects engineers and contractors throughout all project phases.
- Analyze and review contractor change proposals value engineering options and material alternatives.
- Maintain and utilize a cost database to assist in planning and benchmarking.
- Support bid processes: prepare bid packages evaluate contractor proposals and manage scopes.
- Ensure project compliance with local building codes and internal cost control processes.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Construction Management Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).

5 years of experience in project or construction management.
- 3 years in a supervisory or estimating role within the construction industry.
- Strong background in cost estimating for new construction renovations and infrastructure projects.

Proficient in RS Means or other recognized estimating software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Excel Word PowerPoint Visio Adobe etc.).
Nice-to-Have (Bonus Points):

Experience with Procore Smartsheet and Microsoft Project.
- Familiarity with the energy sector or large commercial construction environments.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Location:
This is an on-site role based in Houston TX supporting a high-profile energy client. Occasional local travel to project sites may be required.
