Job Title:

Operations Manager NYS Community Commission on Reparations Remedies (Contract)

Duration: 12 months (with an optional 12-month renewal)


Hourly Rate:

$45.88 $50.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Job Summary

Corporate Hiring Solutions is seeking a mission-driven detail-oriented Operations Manager to support the New York State Community Commission on Reparations Remedies (NYSCCRR). This position is critical to establishing and managing the Commissions core operations including vendor and staff coordination public hearing logistics and budget tracking/reporting.

The Operations Manager will report directly to the Commission Chair and Executive Director.


Key Responsibilities


Operations and amp; Coordination

  • Oversee daily operations and internal workflows.
  • Act as liaison between the Chair Commissioners Executive Director vendors and the public.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and financial protocols.
  • Recommend and implement solutions for operational inefficiencies.

Meeting and amp; Event Management

  • Plan and manage the calendar for public hearings and business meetings across New York State.
  • Coordinate all logistics: venues travel catering public notifications speakers and testimonies.
  • Manage both in-person and virtual meeting operations.

Community Engagement

  • Assist in planning and coordinating community outreach focus groups and listening sessions.
  • Support collection of public input and community feedback.

Budget Management

  • Track and approve vendor invoices.
  • Maintain financial documentation and assist with reporting using Excel or similar tools.


Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Public Administration Nonprofit Management Business Administration or a closely related field.
Applicants must upload a copy of their degree or official transcript.

Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in:
  • Operations or project management
  • Event and meeting logistics
  • Vendor and team coordination
  • Budget tracking and financial reporting
