Job Description

Brief Overview of Position:

Strategic Operational Solutions Inc. (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for an Information Assurance (IA) Analyst role. Your work will be conducted onsite for a client in the Washington DC area.

The IA Analyst safeguards the Governments digital assets and information systems by identifying and mitigating risks vulnerabilities and security threats. You will ensure confidentiality integrity and availability of data through various methods including vulnerability assessments security policy development and incident response.

Requirements and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conducts regular assessments to identify weaknesses in systems and networks that could be exploited by malicious actors
  • Develops and implements security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Continuously monitors network traffic and security alerts to detect and respond to potential threats
  • Investigates security incidents breaches and other threats determining the root cause and implementing solutions
  • Provides security training and awareness programs for employees to educate them about cybersecurity threats and best practices
  • Collaborates with other IT professionals and stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive security approach

What You Must Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Four or more years of cybersecurity experience
  • When joining you must possess an IAT level II certification in ACTIVE status:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • SecurityCE
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship
  • All applicants must have a current DoD Secret clearance day one and prior to entry on duty with the ability to pass an SSBI background investigation to up-scope their clearance to Top Secret / SCI
