Job Description

Brief Overview of Position:

Strategic Operational Solutions Inc. (STOPSO) is seeking candidates for an ITIL Service Manager roles. Your work will be conducted onsite for a client in the Washington DC area.

The ITIL Service Manager oversees the operations of ITIL service delivery for small to medium-sized accounts ensuring that products offerings and services align with business solution goals. This role involves managing ITSM practices leading service improvements and collaborating with various departments to enhance service offerings and customer satisfaction.

Requirements and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations of ITIL service delivery for an Army IT Support Services task order
  • Identify and lead service improvements to increase customer satisfaction in collaboration with the Quality team
  • Ensure delivery of projects meets client and company expectations
  • Integrate new enhanced and existing service offerings
  • Provide leadership and guidance to less experienced personnel
  • Generate and post daily reports to track progress and identify issues
  • Design implement and continuously improve IT service management processes
  • Identify areas for improvement within IT services and processes
  • Manage ITIL triage process to ensure tickets are routed appropriately and resolved within SLAs
  • Escalate issue resolution as needed to ensure client and leadership satisfaction
  • Analyze issues to determine patterns or trends and proactively work to prevent future issues
  • Act as liaison with corporate infrastructure and ITIL resources to ensure compliance with corporate standards
  • Establish metrics and KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of IT services

What You Must Bring to the Table:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven experience in IT service management within an ITIL framework
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure management
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow and its operational capabilities
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Nine or more years of support services project or program experience
  • When joining you must possess an IAT level II certification in ACTIVE status:
    • CCNA Security
    • CySA
    • GICSP
    • GSEC
    • SecurityCE
    • CND
    • SSCP
  • ITIL Foundation Certification
  • Please note that pursuant to a government contract this specific position requires U.S. Citizenship
  • All applicants must have a current DoD Secret clearance day one and prior to entry on duty with the ability to pass an SSBI background investigation to up-scope their clearance to Top Secret / SCI
