Summary:
We are currently searching for a full-time certified surgical technician with experience in scrubbing Total Joints. Must be able to work cooperatively with staff and physicians and perform a variety of tasks. Major responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of the operating room for surgical procedures ensuring proper care and use of surgical instruments efficiently participating in room turnovers and picking surgical supplies in accordance with physician preferences. Monday to Friday with no weekends and no holidays. Good pay and benefits
Responsibilities:
- Verify operations of the equipment to ensure in good working order. Assist with position and preparation of the patient.
- Prepare surgical suite with instruments equipment and supplies
- Hand instruments to the surgeon during procedures. Account for number and location of instruments and supplies.
- Receive and process specimens
- Sterile processing of equipment
- Assist with supply inventory
Requirements:
- Minimum Experience: graduate of a Surgical Tech program or 6 months of surgical tech experience.
- State Surgical Tech registration
- Demonstrated ability to handle complex and at times stressful situations in a calm professional manner
