Job Description
Looking for a technology job where you can do good and do well Level Access Inc. helps companies design and enhance their digital systems - including websites web applications software hardware and services - so they are usable by people with disabilities. As our Accessibility Consultant you will work with clients to test and validate user interfaces against accessibility requirements and consult on the effective technical implementation of digital accessibility requirements in client systems. You will utilize your experience working with HTML CSS and JavaScript and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Your Responsibilities
- Test plan Definition work with our global teams to determine the boundaries of the testing environment for our clients. The Accessibility Consultant will identify a representative test plan of the user interface components found in the clients system.
- Testing test clients systems against specific manual tests and assistive technology tools. As a consultant you will conduct evaluations with our proprietary browser extension that integrates the business and technical aspects of following the latest accessibility regulations in the industry.
- Technical Consultation You will consult with customers on the proper methods for implementing digital accessibility in systems. This will span a variety of web mobile hardware and document systems. This will drive follow-up discussions to create a road map to improve the accessibility and usability of the clients IT system
- Consistency and Quality Assurance You will work to support review and provide a feedback loop maintaining consistency and quality together with our globally diversified group of accessibility professionals.
Your Qualifications
- Technical Experience - If HTML JavaScript and CSS make you want to get out of bed in the morning this is probably a good job for you. We are looking for someone with a core understanding of web development technologies and how they impact the user experience. Experience developing user interfaces and PDF documents is a plus.
- Communicative - You should be able to clearly and effectively communicate with clients in both written and verbal fashion. Written communication should show a high attention to detail. Verbal communication should be formal and indicate the ability to communicate complex topics concisely. Our consulting positions are on the front-line with our customers and it is imperative that you build confidence when speaking with customers. Excels with meeting facilitation skills and the ability to be an effective team player.
- Testing Focus - A portion of what you will do involves testing interfaces and validating that they conform to technical requirements. A desire to perform this validation and experience testing web-based interfaces for compliance with design specifications is critical.
- Organized - We seek to hire and advance people that have this focus and can execute activities on their own over a long period of time without a large amount of management oversight. A candidate that will succeed in this environment should have a desire to grow in the system over several years and seek to build towards big goals.

- Personal Organization You should have strong experience in both waterfall and agile PM tools such as JIRA.
Education and Experience Requirements
- BS degree in technology or equivalent work
- 4 years HTML CSS JavaScript
- Strong working knowledge of Accessibility framework i.e. Section 508 EN 349 501 WCAG 2.X
- Understanding general technical operations would be a plus
- Real world experience working with Product and Technology industries is a huge plus
