Overview

Financial Eligibility and Reimbursement Coordinator

Full Time - Daylight - Altoona PA

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday 8a - 430p
  • No Weekends
  • No Evenings
  • No Holidays
  • No On Call

Requirements of the Financial Eligibility and Reimbursement Coordinator

  • Bachelors degree with applicable experience in Health related Field (Preferred)
  • Must have a drivers license reliable transportation and car insurance
  • Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid regulations (Required)

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for coordination of Medicaid (MA) and Medicare benefits with participants families and governing agencies.

  • Maintain current electronic case management records including annual MA recertifications Skilled Nursing Facility day 31 submissions and invoicing.
  • Complete documentation of all visits (including episodic routine phone calls home visits etc.) against the corresponding care plan elements.
  • Communicate participant changes to team members.
  • Provide administrative assistance (applications forms etc.)/community resources to participants as needed.
  • Assist participants in successful completion of the medical assistance recertification application including submission of all relevant documentation within required timeframes to maintain financial eligibility for Senior LIFE.
  • Keep the participant and family updated about the participants MA eligibility Medicare application stats and any changes with the participants financial status.
