Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Building Services Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will work on a wide range of building projects across commercial healthcare educational and public sector developments contributing to the design and delivery of high-quality sustainable mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design mechanical building services systems including HVAC hot and cold water and drainage systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions.
- Prepare drawings specifications reports and technical schedules in line with industry standards.
- Assist in project delivery from concept to construction including attending client and site meetings.
- Carry out site inspections and support the commissioning process.
- Ensure compliance with local building regulations codes of practice and sustainability goals.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
- 3-6 years experience in the mechanical design of building services.
- Working knowledge of mechanical services design tools and software such as AutoCAD Revit or Hevacomp.
- Strong understanding of current building regulations and sustainable design principles.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Interest in progressing toward Chartership (e.g. with Engineers Ireland or CIBSE).
Desirable
- Experience working on healthcare educational or public infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with digital design workflows and BIM processes.
