Job Description
A leading building services consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team. The role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and delivery of a diverse range of projects across sectors such as healthcare education commercial and public infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical design of building services systems from concept through to construction stage.
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams including electrical engineers architects and contractors.
- Review and approve designs reports specifications and drawings to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Manage client relationships and contribute to project meetings and presentations.
- Oversee the work of junior engineers providing technical guidance and mentoring.
- Ensure designs are compliant with relevant legislation standards and sustainability targets.
- Participate in site inspections commissioning and project handover processes.
Requirements
- Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
- Minimum 7 years experience in the design of mechanical systems for buildings.
- Chartered status or working towards Chartership with a relevant institution (e.g. CIBSE Engineers Ireland).
- Strong understanding of HVAC public health systems and renewable technologies.
- Familiarity with design software such as Revit AutoCAD Hevacomp or similar.
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
