Your role in our success will be:
The Regional Manager will be responsible for leading managing and optimizing operations across multiple propane distribution facilities within a designated territory. This role is critical in supporting Sharp Energys strategic goals around safety service delivery financial performance and growth; ultimately it is responsible for the regions overall success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in propane operations energy delivery regulatory compliance and leadership of dispersed
teams.
What youll be working on:
- Leads daily operations across multiple propane distribution centers to ensure efficient and compliant delivery storage and service.
- Champions a safety culture by enforcing CUC & Sharp Energys safety standards and overseeing regular training audits and inspections.
- Provides leadership coaching and performance development for district managers drivers technicians and field personnel. Lead operational readiness for seasonal demand fluctuations emergency preparedness and fleet management.
- Manages P&L performance budgets staffing productivity and asset utilization across the region.
- Oversee district operating expenses and capital allocations and optimization of assets including rolling stock tank inventories and property.
- Maintains healthy relationships with corporation support services assisting them with their initiatives and requesting assistance when needed.
- Partners with the sales and customer service teams to enhance the customer experience and reviews and drive regional growth.
- Drives operational improvements through technology data analysis and process enhancements.
- Utilize KPI dashboards (Tableau and other sources) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Conducts regular site visits to the districts to assess performance and service and provide support and guidance when needed.
- Ensures compliance with federal state and local regulations (e.g. DOT OSHA NFPA 58 EPA).
- Ensures compliance with EHS staff audits operational efficiency and remediation of findings related to work orders bulk trucks and plants.
- Oversees fleet maintenance and asset compliance using the company fleet management systems.
- Monitors region accounts receivable ensuring the correct process is followed at the district level and manage the write-off process for bad debt.
- Evaluates vendors and subcontractors to ensure equitable pricing business values and business strategy alignment.
Who you are:
- Bachelors Degree in business administration operations management or related field (Preferred)
- A minimum of five years of propane gas utilities operations or energy delivery industry related experience as well as leadership experience managing multi-sites teams.
- Valid Driver License
- Licensure/Certification: OSHA Safety Certification (Preferred) CDL with Hazmat endorsement (or understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulations (Preferred)
- Knowledge of propane distribution energy delivery compliance and safety procedures.
- Financial acumen and business operation knowledge.
- Strong leadership and team development skills.
- Effective communicator with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and operations management systems.
- Ability to travel regionally up to 50% of the time to the assigned districts or business operation sites
