You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe Red Hat Market Development team is looking for a Market Development Representative to join us in Raleigh North Carolina. In this role you will be responsible for cross-collaboration with the Marketing and Sales organizations to generate net new pipeline for Red Hat by discovering qualifying and passing net new opportunities to Sales in accordance with detailed instructions. The role involves adhering to Red Hats standardized follow up process to proactively contact leads (marketing sourced & outbound) qualify opportunities in accordance with the MEDDPICC model and set up qualified handoff meetings with the account team and customer. This is currently a hybrid role with a mix of working remotely and working in the Raleigh office.
What you will do:
Follow up on inbound marketing generated leads and meet associated SLA requirements
Consistent attainment towards Qualified Meeting and Pipeline goals throughout the quarter
Strategize and execute campaigns with the sales and marketing teams to uncover new sales opportunities through daily KPI requirements such as cold calls emailing and social selling
Utilize consultative selling techniques to identify customer business needs and communicate how Red Hats offerings can address those needs
Collaborate with the sales team on account strategy
Make extensive use of prospecting tools and techniques to generate customer interest
Develop an understanding of Red Hats technology offerings pricing and subscription model
What you will bring:
At least 6 months of experience in a Sales Development/Lead Development or Sales role preferably in IT. Recruiting backgrounds also provide similar pre-requisite experience.
Experience carrying a quota and a consistent track record of meeting those targets
Bachelors degree preferably in business management information systems marketing communications or related field of study work experience or academic projects in sales marketing or information systems
Strong references and demonstration of success in prior roles
Exceptional organizational and time management skills
Public speaking & presentation skills
Knowledge of sales techniques and systems like (SFDC) or
Excellent communication problem solving and interpersonal skills
Customer service skills
A positive attitude and curiosity to learn and grow
A desire to make a positive impact on Red Hats strategic mission
Ability to work and learn on your own as well as on a team
Ability to understand customer issues and needs and link them to Red Hats offerings
Ability to discuss key industry issues at multiple levels within an organization
Motivated with the ability to work under strict deadlines
Willingness to travel as needed (minimal travel once or twice a year at most
Pay Transparency
Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location experience applicable skills and training external market value and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hats compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus commission and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
