The Cannabis Control Division administers the states Marijuana Codes which governs the cultivation manufacturing and sale of cannabis products. The division provides customer service with a focus on public safety to ensure a safe orderly and regulated system for safe and responsible consumption of marijuana products. The Cannabis Control Division includes the administrative team the licensing bureau the inspection/compliance bureau and division support staff.

DUTIES
Job Overview:
This position resides in the Cannabis Control Division of Department of Revenue. The Cannabis Control Division Management Officer serves as a member of the divisions management team and assists the division administrator and deputy division administrator in managing the day-to-day division functions and operations including staffing budget tracking internal and external communications project coordination planning and setting goals and objectives. The position reports to the division administrator and supervises assigned staff.

Eligibility for employment will be subject to the following:
REMOTE/TELEWORK: This position may be eligible to work from an approved worksite within the state of Montana. This position would be required to report to a Department of Revenue office assigned by the supervisor. Employees must meet and sustain Department of Revenue telework eligibility requirements and supervisors approval to participate in the DOR Telework Program.
Training Assignment:This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
The above competencies are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
Bachelors degree in business public administration or related field.
Two years of job-related experience including one year of supervisory experience.
Experience in licensing is preferred
Other combinations of education and experience will be evaluated on an individual basis.
