The Warehouse Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the shipping receiving and inventory management operations within Marco Industries at our Florida Distribution Center. They manage daily warehouse operations ensure accurate inventory management and support the seamless flow of goods in and out of the facility. The ideal candidate can work independently with minimal supervision taking full responsibility for facility operations. They must demonstrate sound judgment proactively manage daily tasks and consistently uphold performance safety and compliance standards.
Qualifications Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelors degree in business logistics supply chain or related field preferred.
- Proven experience (4 years) in a warehouse or logistics role.
- A valid drivers license.
- Proficient with modern business systems including MS Office Email and general ERP systems.
- Ability to obtain a license to operate a forklift or lift truck. Prior experience with forklifts is preferred. Forklift certification is a plus.
- Strong understanding of warehouse procedures inventory systems and safety regulations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Maintains inventory physical and systematic accuracy by initiating coordinating and enforcing program operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Oversee inventory by acceptance of received products and materials from receiving and production teams.
- Responsible for conducting counts of stored materials in daily weekly and monthly cycle counts and forwarding relevant information to Purchasing for inventory control Production for raw material availability and Distribution for product availability.
- Manage monitor and consolidate storage to allow maximum utilization of space.
- Complies with federal state and local warehousing material handling requirements enforcing adherence to best practices advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring best practices for inventory control.
- Communicate with vendors suppliers and internal departments to resolve shipping and receiving issues.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with Company systems.
- Pull and prepare orders for shipment according to pick tickets or digital order systems
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of outgoing orders
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; and requesting work orders for repair requisition or replacement; including assist in implementing warehouse process improvements and automation initiatives.
- Maintains Distribution staff job results by coaching counseling and disciplining employees planning monitoring and appraising job results.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts pallet jacks and barcode scanners as required.
- Generate reports related to inventory shipments and performance metrics.
- Communicates with Sales Production Purchasing Distribution and Management as needed to facilitate the flow of information within the Company and for Customers.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Supervisory Responsibility:
This position is responsible for supervising all employees assigned to the Distribution Team in the Florida Distribution Center.

Office and Warehouse work using technology daily to handle fax email copier scanner phone label printers and computer-related tasks and responsibilities. This role requires work in a warehouse environment which may involve exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels. Regular physical activity including lifting walking and operating equipment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop kneel crouch or crawl. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Schedule
This is a full-time position and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Occasional extended hours and potential weekends may be required as job duties demand.
