The Sales Support & Application Engineer for Mixers is responsible for supporting the Sales Organization with selection & sizing of mixers for different types of processes and applications. The Sales Support & Application Engineer is also supporting the Sales organization with Pricing and Commercial guidelines when needed.

As a Sales Support & Application Engineer for mixers you play a significant role for ensuring Xylem remains the world-leading mixer and mixing solution provider to the Wastewater industry. Based on solid understanding of the Customers pain points and needs you actively seek new effective and competitive solutions as well as design optimization opportunities. As Sales Support & Application Engineer you also support various business- and product development projects well as competitor analyzes.

Main activities:

• Support the sales organization with application engineering expertise including product selection system design etc. for Treatment applications.
• Prepare technical- & commercial proposals (design costing quoting) in close collaboration with sales organization to support high win rates
• Monitor industry trends competitor activity and analyse sales data to identify areas for improvement
• Conduct or support regular collaboration calls with Sales Organization to follow-up Project funnel.
• Maintain and update Sales & Order Forecast on a regular basis.
• Participate in and provide support in sales negotiation meetings with customers.
• Provide training to the sales organization and customers (consultants contractors representatives and end-users)
• Participate in Trouble-shooting activities R&D projects and application development projects.
• Produce engineering guidelines and support improvement of software tools for product selection and system design.
• Support tests in lab environment and/or at site
• Participate in Conferences Trade Shows and support marketing activities to share our application know-how in the market and build Xylem brand.
• Participates in competitive analysis to help develop and drive market growth strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree in chemical electrical mechanical or environmental engineering (or similar) alternatively degree in Business Administration with two years of working experience with drinking- and/or wastewater applications oxidative processes and/or disinfection processes.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Fluent skills in English both oral and written. Communication skills in other languages are welcome
• A continuous improvement mindset inspiring accountability and cross-boundary collaboration.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in working in an international environment with intercultural competence.
• Ability and willingness for national and international travel (up to 30%)
