The Village of Ridgeview Court located in Milton Ontario has an exciting opportunity for a Full-TimeDirector of Recreation to join their Village Team.

As a new Director of Recreation you will:
- Have a diploma or degree in Recreation/Leisure Studies and/or Gerontology or Equivalent from a community college or university
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a Health Care Setting
- Demonstrate previous leadership experience
- Respect the rights and dignity of all residents families team members and visitors to the village and addresses any requests with professionalism and care
As a new Director of Recreation joining our Village Team it would be an ASSET but not required for you to having the following:
- Knowledge of the five domains in Therapeutic Recreation that contribute to an individuals health
- Leadership Experience
- Knowledge of recreational therapy practices methods techniques and opportunities to improve residents wellbeing and holistic health
- Knowledge of relevant policies procedures legislation regulations and best practices (e.g. Long Term Care Act 2007 RHRA act and standards supplies equipment ordering etc.)
- F Class License
- Experience with shift scheduling department spending and budget
- Skills Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams
- Have exceptional time management skills and ability to work in collaboration with a team
- Support and embrace our resident-centred social culture and be proud to deliver the highest quality of customer service to our residents
