DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Your responsibilities will include overseeing a construction inspection team and executing various technical tasks related to transportation construction projects. You will ensure that all activities adhere to approved plans standards and specifications which involves supervising the inspection of materials and workmanship. Additionally you will provide guidance on sampling testing and inspection methods to contractors and team members. In this role you may serve as the inspector-in-charge for a highway construction project with a limited scope of operations or assist on a larger project by managing specific assigned tasks.

- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday - Friday with a 30-minute lunch.
- You will work closely with vendors and work hours may change based on vendor availability.
- Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time on an Adhoc basis. In order to telework you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.
- Salary:In some cases the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Transportation Construction Inspector (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Two years of construction inspection experience and an associates degree in civil engineering mechanical engineering geotechnical engineering surveying engineering technology or a closely related engineering technology; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Condition of Employment:
- This position requires possession of a valid non- commercial Pennsylvania Class C Drivers License or equivalent.
Other Requirements:

- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
