Elementary French and Music Teacher (0.49 FTE) Position Dates: August 25 2025 to June 30 2026
Position Overview
Airdrie Christian Academy (ACA) is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic Elementary Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have a passion for fostering a love of learning in young students through engaging differentiated lessons in French and Music. This position offers an opportunity to teach in a supportive Christ-centered environment where student growth academically spiritually and socially is paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and model ACAs mission and vision in all aspects of teaching and professional conduct.
- Plan and deliver Alberta curriculum-aligned lessons in French and Music that inspire diverse learners.
- Maintain an organized tidy and stimulating classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Foster a respectful safe and collaborative classroom culture that nurtures each students growth.
- Assess and monitor student progress using approved assessment tools providing constructive feedback.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with students parents and colleagues to build supportive relationships.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to enhance student learning and school culture.
- Participate actively in staff meetings professional development sessions and extracurricular activities.
- Adhere to school policies and procedures supporting the wider school programs and initiatives.
- Report directly to the Principal.
- Bachelors Degree in Education and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- Demonstrated commitment as a follower of Jesus Christ aligning with ACAs faith-based mission.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities.
- A completed Police Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (required before start date).
- Alignment with ACAs mission and vision.
- Approximately 0.49 FTE (specific schedule and hours to be determined).
- Based on experience and education.
- 10-month contract paid monthly over 12 months.
