This position is for a Lead Electronics Technician in Aftermarket Projects & Support who performs basic to moderately complex technical tasks which contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects. Collaborates with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results. Will assist in orienting training and assigning work of technical/business support employees.

This is an onsite position in Cedar Rapids IA.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Build test troubleshoot deliver and setup highly complex test/repair equipment for the Service Operations Service Centers. The test equipment/systems includes RCTS RFT ITS CTS and GS automated test equipment (ATEs) as well as other computer-aided and manual test stations.

• Provide lab support to Service Centers globally.

• Interface with Engineering Production Operations Service Centers Quality and Test Equipment Services to resolve issues.

• Assist with restoration of test/repair capabilities when fielded equipment fails.

• Manage spare equipment for the Service Centers/Bases.

• Receipt store calibrate scheduling shipment and recall of equipment to and from the service centers Test Equipment Services and Lab 66.

• Train service center personnel on the proper operation calibration troubleshooting and maintenance of automated test systems.

• Prioritize daily project work along with urgent requests that come in periodically.

• May require approximately 15% travel to US and international service centers.

QUALIFICATIONS YOU MUST HAVE:

• Typically requires an AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.

• Experience troubleshooting and working with test equipment is required.

QUALIFICATIONS WE PREFER:

• Experience working with global counterparts is preferred.

• Experience troubleshooting digital equipment RF equipment Fiber Optics Ethernet and Automated Test Equipment preferred.

• Experience utilizing Bill of Materials/Drawings is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 56000 USD - 112000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
