Job Title: Kitchen Suppression Project Manager

The primary function of this role is to oversee the project management of the Fire Kitchen Suppression Department. This department handles all service inspections and installations of kitchen suppression systems. In addition to basic day-to-day operations this position will be required to perform kitchen SFUs to maintain growth of the business.

This job requires the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced multi tasked environment with a focus towards customer development and support quality work performance and an understanding of all the necessary NFPA codes that support each fire system. It will require travel to customer sites.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Perform service inspections and installations based on NFPA 10 17 17A and 96.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting and describe any issues to owners and service managers for repairs.
  • Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks.
  • Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for scheduling of daily inspections.
  • May perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level as necessary.
  • Insure that customer contractual obligations are met and actively resolve customer issues.
  • Monitor all fieldwork operations ensuring work is completed on schedule within budget and in a manner that meets customer expectations NFPA guidelines and industry standards.
  • Promote employee compliance with corporate safety initiatives.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective communication with customers ensuring their satisfaction with our products and services at all times.
  • Travel to customers and job sites as required.

Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. Education / Work Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 5 years of related work experience is required.
  • 3 years previous management experience is required.
  • Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of the operational characteristics of fire extinguishers and emergency/exit lights is required.
  • Knowledge of NFPA 10 17 17A and 96 is required.
  • Basic mechanical skills including the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues is required.
  • Ability to work on ladders scaffolding and scissors or articulating lifts is required.
  • Valid drivers license with clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to obtain all required certifications is required.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required.

Computer Skills:

  • Computer Skills: Significant experience with Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint).
