Job Description
Founded in 1990 and based in New Richmond WI Isometrics vision was to manufacture tooling and provide manufacturing solutions to exacting specifications for ultra-small ultra-precise and ultra-complex applications. Over the past 35 years were proud to say weve grown to be one of the largest medical-focused micro molders in the United States. In March 2024 Isometric was acquired by Nissha Medical Technologies (NMT) a global Contract Design/Development Manufacturing Organization. NMTs expertise in the design and development of endoscopic devices combined with Isometrics micro-molding capabilities have the potential to redefine the realm of minimally invasive surgical instruments and surgical robotics. Together we aim to address the changing demands of medical devices by enhancing component miniaturization and improving the maneuverability of small and precision components ultimately advancing medical efficiency.
Its an exciting time to join our team and were hiring for a Sinker EDM Specialist.This role is responsible for the setup programming and operation of CNC Sinker EDM Machine Centers critical to the fabrication of precision tooling components.The hours for this position are MondayFriday 7:00AM-3:30PM.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Set up program and operate CNC Sinker EDM Machine Centers
- Optimize process to achieve efficiency accuracy and finish call-out
- Receive daily instructions from Production/Operations Manager and plan day accordingly
- Perform daily maintenance check on machines and promptly report concerns to Production Supervisor
- Use proper set-up for maximum efficiency and precision based on finish and specification
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Meet agreed upon goals and objectives in a timely manner
- Adhere to procedures and guidelines as specified in Quality Management System
- Strong communication/collaboration skills to operate efficiently between departments and team cultured environment.
- Check work to ensure they meet specifications
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- Associate or Technical degree in Machine Tooling or a related field
- 3 years of Sinker EDM experience
- Knowledge of geometric tolerancing practices
- Demonstrated ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints
- Knowledge of Sinker EDM programming burning and finishes
- Must be able to set-up and operate Sinker EDM machines to .0001 precision.
- Ability to operate precision measurement devices.
