The Sales Engineer is responsible for driving business growth by managing relationships with existing clients and actively identifying and developing new business opportunities. This role requires the ability to design and present innovative civil or geotechnical engineering solutions emphasizing the unique value and technical advantages of our product portfolio. The Sales Engineer is accountable for achieving revenue targets and profitability within the assigned territory and product range ensuring the economic success of the business area.
Essential functions
- Acquire and manage projects including performing material and quantity take-offs preparing cost estimates developing proposals setting pricing strategies and leading the bidding process.
- Negotiate contracts and secure new orders ensuring favorable terms for the company and processing customer orders efficiently.
- Promote and expand the market presence of the companys products and solutions to target industries through presentations and technical demonstrations to owners designers and customers.
- Maintain ongoing communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle from initial engagement to conflict resolution and post-sale follow-up.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and projects proactively identifying new business opportunities.
- Provide technical expertise and support during all phases of the sales process ensuring customer requirements are met with appropriate engineering solutions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system on a daily basis.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall sales and business objectives.
Required Education and experience
- Bachelors degree in civil or structural engineering or 4 years of industry experience.
- Advanced Knowledge of geotechnical application such as to Anchored Earth retention Micro piles Rock Bolts and Foundation Construction.
- 5 years of Geotechnical experience is required.
- Sales experience is preferred.
- Experience with MS Office and ability to learn Dywidag internal database and information system.
- Ability to read civil structural and architectural drawings.
- Experienced with MS Office - Word Excel (expert level working knowledge preferred) Access PowerPoint Teams and Outlook.

Travel requirements
- Travel to customer locations is required.
- May be required outside of sales territory on occasion 25%.
