Younity Access Center is seeking TWO Peer Mentors who are passionate about improving the lives of young adults through positive peer connections and community based supports. We are looking for someone who knows what it is like to navigate recovery from a mental health or substance use challenge and can transform their lived experience into leadership to help other young people who may be falling through the cracks of traditional services. Younity Access Center is an innovative program serving young adults ages 16-25 who experience or are at risk of developing serious mental health concerns and/or substance use. The program is designed to be flexible offer low/no barrier access to services and supports and to rapidly respond linking young people to needed resources.
Salary Range: $20-21/hour
Schedule: Can be for 24-32 hours per week Tuesday-Friday.
JRI Provides The Training So That:
- YOU will work closely with the Assistant Program Director/Peer Coordinator and other staff to ensure participants receive culturally relevant and accessible services.
- You will ensure activities are youth-driven and utilize engagement and service principles consistent with the needs of participants.
- YOU will take an active role in monthly Young Adult Advisory Board meetings and weekly Younity team meetings as well as help to support and facilitate youth-led programming at Younity.
- Most importantly YOU will serve as an example of resiliency and what it means to be an active community member.

Requirements:
- High School diploma/HiSET OR have a plan to complete within one year of hire.
- Associates degree in a human service field from an accredited school preferred.
- Valid MA drivers license and reliable access to a MA registered vehicle.
- One (1) year of experience working with youth and/or young adults.
- Lived experience within one of the state child serving systems or with utilizing mental health programs/services.
- Must complete CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information) and OIG background check.
- Experience working with specialized populations of adolescents preferred.
- Familiarity with the Wraparound Model preferred.
