Job Description
Mass Torts Attorney
Career Consulting Partners has partnered with one of the top injury plaintiff firms in the country. They are nationally recognized for their work in class actions mass torts and complex civil litigation.
We are seeking a litigation associate with 5 -7 years of experience to join our mass tort and class action practice. This role offers a significant opportunity to lead casework collaborate with top-tier trial attorneys and contribute meaningfully to high-profile multi-district and coordinated litigation. Defense-side attorneys with strong litigation credentials and an interest in transitioning to plaintiff work are encouraged to apply.
IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Independently manage litigation in both California state and federal courts
- Draft and argue motions including dispositive motions
- Conduct and oversee discovery including depositions of fact and expert witnesses
- Handle mediations settlement negotiations and client strategy sessions
- Participate in Joint Case Management Conferences and other aspects of JCCP/MDL proceedings
- Coordinate with co-counsel experts and internal teams to develop and execute case strategy
- Support trial preparation and attend trial as needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Juris Doctorate and an active California Bar license
- 57 years of civil litigation experience preferably in mass torts product liability or complex class actions
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills
- Familiarity with judge-specific preferences and court procedures in Los Angeles and surrounding jurisdictions
- Experience handling multiple complex cases and working in a collaborative team setting
- A proactive resourceful mindset and desire to make an impact in plaintiff-side litigation
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
- Compensation: $160000 - $185000
- Plus Commission Pay/Attorney Fees
- Medical & Dental (HMO/PPO Options)
