Job Description
Job Title : Cath Lab Tech
Location: State College PA
Job Type: Contract / Travel
Shift: 10 hour day shift / 4 shifts per week
Start Date : 16th June
Duration: 13 weeks
Mount Nittany Health is seeking a qualified and dedicated Cardiac Catheterization Technologist or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team. This is a full-time position with 10-hour shifts and 7 12 days of call per month including call every 3rd to 4th weekend. A 30-minute response time is required for all call shifts. Holiday call is also a possibility.
Key Responsibilities:-
Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology procedures with professional expertise and minimal supervision.

Function in a variety of roles including:

Scrub/Assistant in the sterile field
-
Monitor Tech in the control room
-
Second Circulator during procedures
-

Assist in patient care during pre- intra- and post-procedure phases.

Operate and maintain a variety of complex equipment including:
-
Hemodynamic monitors
-
IABP Impella pacemakers and EP devices
-

Monitor and record patient vitals; manage moderate sedation patients.

Participate in patient and staff education to promote cardiac health and wellness.

Coronary angiography and interventions
-
Right and left heart catheterization
-
Temporary and permanent pacemaker placement
Requirements:Note: RCIS/Tech will not administer medications or blood products.

Current BLS certification
-
Current ACLS certification
-
Ability to respond to call within 30 minutes

RCIS credential through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
-
Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or Electrophysiology Lab
