Job Title: Storage Engineer
Location: Onsite Irving TX
Employment Type: Full-Time / Direct Hire
Compensation: $140000 $180000 annually
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Storage Engineer to join our clients IT Infrastructure team. This individual will be responsible for the design implementation maintenance and optimization of enterprise storage systems and related server infrastructure. The role requires deep technical expertise in modern storage technologies strong systems-level architecture knowledge and a proactive approach to performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain enterprise storage systems including SAN NAS and object storage platforms
Design and implement scalable storage solutions that meet performance and availability objectives
Monitor storage and server environments to ensure reliability security and capacity optimization
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across storage server and networking components
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure projects and system integrations
Automate operational tasks and support infrastructure-as-code practices
Maintain documentation for system architecture procedures and best practices
Qualifications:
5 years of hands-on experience managing enterprise storage and systems; 5 10 years total IT experience
Expertise with storage platforms such as VAST Dell EMC or Lustre
Strong proficiency in Linux and Windows server environments
Familiarity with network protocols related to storage (e.g. iSCSI NFS Fibre Channel)
Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware Hyper-V)
Scripting capabilities using Python Bash or PowerShell (preferred)
Experience with backup and recovery tools such as Veeam or Commvault (preferred)
Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS Azure) and hybrid storage architectures (preferred)
Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
