What Youll Do
- Oversee and actively manage all core accounting functions including general ledger payroll A/P A/R asset and balance sheet management tax compliance and financial statements.
- Prepare and analyze monthly quarterly and annual financial and operating results.
- Lead coach and develop accounting staff by setting expectations providing regular feedback and aligning performance with company values.
- Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting while identifying opportunities to reduce cost and waste.
- Build and manage departmental budgets and long-range financial forecasts.
- Analyze operational and labor data surface risks and recommend actionable improvements.
- Partner cross-functionally with operations sales and other teams to support business goals.
- Maintain key external relationships with auditors banks insurers and legal advisors.
- Support the President and leadership team in executing company-wide strategies.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in Accounting (required)
- 7 years of relevant accounting/finance experience
- Strong foundation in GAAP financial reporting and team leadership
- CPA designation (preferred)
- Experience in waste logistics or transportation industries (preferred)
