In this role you will work across different projects to assess a building material's impact on building energy and comfort performance along with facilitating new product development with BU teams.
You will primarily use simulation software and onsite measurements to quantify the product's performance.
We are looking for professionals who are self-motivated can independently design and plan experiments good in data analvsis and preparing report for internal teams and clients. The domain expertise is required in the following areas is require: hygro-thermal analysis multi-comfort assessment energy consumption analysis MATLAB/Python basic knowledge data acquisition and visualization.
Job requirement -
Onsite experimental measurements: knowledge of sensors and equipment data acquisition and analysis
Troubleshoot data acquisition systems
Calibrate and maintain measurement system as per the product catalogue
Carry out energy performance studies for assessing products performance
Support Glass and Gypsum R&D teams for developing arguments to support products prescription
Support BU R&D teams in new products developments
Perform analysis on data gathered from various sites
The candidate should be enthusiastic to explore and develop new products leveraging publication journals and university collaboration
Qualification -
Master's degree or equivalent in Building Science/Energy Efficiency/Thermal/Mechanical
/Instrumentation / Civil /Architecture.
1-4 years of experience in Building Science/Energy/Power/Instrumentation industry.
2 years of experience with the following:
Experience working in experimental setup with sensors.
Experience working in complex technical analysis testing or validation.
Experience working in one or more of the following sensors: Temperature RH Solar
Radiation Air flow metering Air Quality Acoustic level etc.
Expert and hands-on experience in MATLAB python language
Knowledge of modelling tools like Design Builder Rhino Grasshopper WUFI will be plus
Technical concepts systems development methods and disciplines associated with the defined projects applies the knowledge to deliverables and leverages it to accelerate project
completion.
Experience with preparation of test plan data analysis and DOE.
