You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailTeamworx are delighted to be recruiting an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant on behalf of our client a prestigious 5-star resort in County Kildare renowned for its exceptional service elegant accommodation and world-class guest experiences.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment and enjoys a blend of daily transactional duties and broader financial responsibilities. You ll work closely with both the finance department and operational teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial processes.
Deliver daily finance functions in line with the Resorts brand standards and service excellence.
Process and post supplier invoices payments and journal entries accurately and efficiently.
Complete monthly reconciliations including bank accounts creditors and prepayments.
Maintain and update key financial schedules including accruals and the fixed asset register.
Support the preparation of monthly accounts to trial balance.
Conduct variance analysis reporting and cost control reviews.
Coordinate with internal departments to verify and authorise clock cards and payroll inputs.
Oversee elements of accounts payable/receivable ensuring timeliness and accuracy.
Monitor and strengthen internal financial controls and processes.
Assist in revenue compliance checks CSO reporting Intrastat and VIES returns.
Prepare regular financial reports to aid in management decision-making.
Support the annual budgeting process and external audit.
Handle confidential information with discretion and uphold company policies and procedures.
Proven experience in an Accounts Payable or general finance role (hospitality or resort experience is a plus).
Strong attention to detail organisational ability and a methodical approach to problem solving.
Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Excel; knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Sun Systems Sage Opera) desirable.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
