Heavy-Duty Diesel Mechanic - 2nd Shift

Truck Centers Inc. is growing and were looking for Service Technicians and Certified Diesel Mechanics at all experience levels to join our team. As a Diesel Technician you play a crucial role in our Service department helping keep our customers on the road by delivering top-notch repairs and maintenance.

**This position will work 3:30pm-midnight Monday-Friday with a Saturday rotation every third Saturday.

WHAT YOULL DO:

• Perform consistent high-quality work according to OEM warranty and dealership standards.
• Read repair orders observe and listen to vehicle operation obtain diagnostics information identify root cause malfunctions plan work procedures and perform necessary repairs on a vehicle as authorized.
• Tackle general and major repairs across various truck systems including engines transmissions suspensions brakes HVAC electronics and more.
• Document your diagnostic findings repair progress and completed work thoroughly to keep our customers informed and ensure smooth warranty processing.
• Work closely with the Parts department to verify parts and collaborate with the Shop Foreman and Service Administration team for status updates or assistance.
• Ensure every repair meets quality standards by performing checks and road tests to confirm the issue is resolved.

Qualifications :

What Were Looking For:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Drivers License with ability to meet insurance requirements is required
• Class B CDL with air brake endorsement preferred; Class A CDL highly preferred
• Certificate from a diesel tech training school or a minimum of 4 years mechanical medium- or heavy-duty truck service experience in a shop setting or military installation
• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and commitment to providing quality work
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
• Candidates must have their own tools; TCI provides specialty and OEM-required tooling for on-site communal use
• Must participate in a pre-employment background check physical and drug screen.
