Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Civil/Construction Engineer to be based in Chicago IL.
The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:
- Perform on-site construction inspections to verify compliance with plans and specifications during construction.
- Coordinate construction work activities with other members of the project team.
- Performs field measurements of construction work items and calculates quantities of for contractor payment.
- Prepares daily diaries and work reports tracking workforce labor and equipment and working conditions
- Performs a variety of assignments designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities requiring application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out tasks.
Qualifications :
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Candidate must have completed Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or any similar major or have demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
- As a condition of employment the selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous exposure or strong interest in transportation infrastructure construction.
- Knowledge in using CAD and MS Office.
