As a Principal Financial Analyst youll turn complex data into decisions that influences the Universitys future impacts students futures and supports a research portfolio tackling societys biggest challenges.
You will lead key financial analysis projects and provide strategic insights to support university-wide financial planning and decision-making. Working closely with senior finance leaders you will drive continuous improvement deliver insight strengthen financial capability and ensure compliance across the University.
Key Responsibilities
Lead financial analysis projects to assess risks opportunities and strategic impacts.
Develop complex financial models to support strategic decision-making.
Communicate financial insights clearly and proactively across the University.
Provide expert advice on planning performance policies and financial systems.
Collaborate across teams to solve complex finance issues and drive continuous improvement.
Support the development and implementation of integrated finance strategies.
Build finance capability across the University through coaching and guidance.
Effectively manage competing priorities while influencing and negotiating with stakeholders.
Ensure financial integrity security and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Uphold governance and integrity standards in all financial activities.
About you
Financial modelling expert - Experience implementing a robust and dynamic forecasting model that incorporates scenario planning predictive analytics and data driven insights.
Commercial and business acumen - Experience in translating complicated financial information into clear actionable insights.
Leadership skills Experience leading projects and coordinating team members with various backgrounds and skillsets.
Communication - Experience partnering with presenting to and communicating with executive and senior management.
Relationship management - Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills to build relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
Growth mindset - Proven ability to drive process improvement automation and operational efficiency.
Adaptable - Experience responding to changing organisational needs and working together to resolve complex business issues.
Relevant Experience - The occupant of this position will hold relevant tertiary qualifications and a professional accounting qualification.
Candidates must have full unrestricted Australian work rights and may be subject to a National criminal history check.
What we can offer
This is a full time 18-month fixed-term opportunity based at Brisbane South (Nathan).As Griffith is a multi-site University you may be required to work across other locations.
HEW 10 Salary $142222.18 17% super. Full package - $166399.96.
