Job Description

To fulfill the role of a Behavioral Tech Supervisor within a treatment team you will be responsible for maintaining the wellbeing of clients and the integrity of the program. Provide client supervision and staff/unit support as assigned.  The health welfare and safety of our clients are the main focus of this position.  Monitor and track activities of participants and document all observations and actions.  Assist in the evaluation of Behavioral Tech (BT) Team; participate in scheduling and ongoing training for each staff member.  Monitors staff compliance assuring program policies and procedures are followed and in compliance with DHCS and Joint Commission standards and regulations QA Med books and Intake charting.  Required to participate in all staff and training meetings. You will assist in the supervision of the Behavioral Tech team. 

Responsibilities

  • Promotion of Cliffside Malibus mission vision and values 
  • Facilitates clients daily needs per the program schedule.
  • Facilitate participants daily meetings.
  • Observe clients self-administration of medication and treatment as prescribed through written MD orders in the EMR
  • Responsible for the overall completion of Behavioral Tech duties.
  • Completes admission/intake procedures on new participants including all paperwork and initial orientation
  • You will assist in collaboration of the client transportation schedule and are required to Drive clients as needed
  • You will be responsible for obtaining Employee Missing documentation
  • You will participate and provide support in the training scheduling supervision disciplinary action and evaluation of Behavioral Tech staff.
  •  You will monitor staff compliance with program policies and procedures and review documentation to assure compliance with program DHCS and Joint Commission compliance including Med book audits and client chart audits.
  • You will also maintain UA tracking log Room Search Log and Daily task check list to assure all items are complete
  • You will maintain a file on each BT documenting accreditations infractions errors training etc.
  • Reviews and approves Behavioral Tech timecards requested days off shift exchange requests.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Behavioral Tech staff and your direct supervisor.
  • Conducts regular house and grounds checks advising Operations of any irregularities. Assists in keeping grounds and facility clean.
  • Ability to confront behavioral changes identify a crisis and recognize when additional assistance is needed
  • Ability to demonstrate ethical and professional behavior
  • Ability to demonstrate respect for cultural and lifestyle diversities of clients and staff
  • Ability to recognize personal recovery issues that have an impact on job performance and interactions with clients
  • Becomes familiar with the Policy and Procedures. Consistency required in following our policies and procedures. 
  • Follow emergency procedures exactly (notification protocols transportation etc. Follow exact directions given and documents everything.
  • Participate in the establishing and implementing new policies and procedures
  • Audit and sign off on the following items at the beginning and end of each shift every day:
    • Client checks
    • UA results
    • MAR
    • Intakes complete
    • Staff timecards verified and approved in Dayforce
    • Check and log medication refrigerator temperature/disinfection logs
    • Overnight audits
    • Verify staff schedule and communicate necessary changes to leads/staff
  • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.

This is a full-time position that will work Sunday-Wednesday 12p-10:30p.

Qualifications :

  • Strongly preferred; prior experience as an SUD (Substance Use Disorder) Counselor
  • Current registration in approved counselor certification program and maintained thereafter.
  • Knowledge of drug and alcohol dependency.  Previous work experience required minimum 1 year
  • Medication training required within 30 days
  • Possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Class C Drivers License and liability insurance
  • Clean U/A test
  • TB test prior to hire and current thereafter
  • First aid/CPR certification obtain within 30 days and maintain current thereafter
  • 1-year minimum sobriety if in recovery
