We are seeking a highly motivated AI Intern to join our team in advancing research/development in machine learning in Advanced Driving Assistance area. You will be responsible for assisting in the design development and testing of AI algorithms. You will contribute to the extension of our current project previously published at a top conference. There is also an opportunity to co-author follow-up publications
As an intern you will work closely with our team to prototype refine and evaluate new ideas. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on research experience and make a meaningful contribution to impactful AI work.
Your task(s) will include:
1. Extend and improve upon our existing ML algorithms
2. Design implement and evaluate deep learning models using PyTorch
3. Perform experiments and analyze results to guide findings
4. Assist in dataset preparation augmentation and evaluation pipelines as needed
Qualifications :
Required Specialized knowledge:
1. Currently enrolled in a Masters or PhD program in Computer Science Electrical Engineering or a related field
2. Strong hands-on experience with PyTorch and deep learning frameworks
3. Able to read and implement academic papers or adapt existing GitHub codebases
4. Solid understanding of computer vision and machine learning fundamentals
5. Proficient in Python
6. Be a communicative proactive tenacious and reliable team player!
Preferred language abilities:
1. Fluent English required
Preferred skills:
1. Experience with large-scale datasets and model training pipelines
2. Prior research experience in ADAS area (e.g. published papers)
3. Familiarity with 3D vision geometric deep learning Lane3D or multi-view perception (a plus not required)
Additional Information :
Target Internship Period: 16th September 2025 - 15th September 2026
*We offer a very competitive monthly net allowance of 200000 Yen on a full-time scheme. We will also provide you with all necessary documents and information for a successful Designated Activities visa application. Please note that the full visa process may take up to three months. Furthermore applicants who intend to have an internship period for 12 months/already hold residence status in Japan will receive a monthly gross allowance.
**Japanese Nationals:
Please note that Japanese nationals do not require a visa process. Depending on the needs of the receiving department students fulfilling this condition may begin their internship within one month of being hired.
***Exchange students
Please note that foreign nationals on a student visa with permission for part-time job () do not require a visa process. Students fulfilling these conditions will be eligible to work on a part-time scheme only. Depending on the needs of the receiving department exchange students may begin their internship within one month of being hired.
****Non-Japanese Nationals (visa requirements):
Please note that applicants who are not Japanese nationals need to be eligible to obtain the Designated Activities Visa for an internship with Bosch Japan. Therefore only students who fulfill the following conditions are eligible to apply:
A.) Enrolled student at a university at least 3 months before the internship and during the entire internship period.
B.) Doing the internship will require your university to sign a document confirming that the internship represents a mandatory or strongly recommended part of your university curriculum when applying for your visa.
Please be aware that we will not:
A.) Carry out country specific tax treaty procedures.
B.) Carry out any refund procedures.
