The Role:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert care to orthopaedic surgical inpatients and outpatients
  • Assess and manage orthopaedic patients in wards, emergency, ICU, and outpatient clinics
  • Assist in surgical procedures and participate in daily ward rounds
  • Supervise and provide leadership to junior medical staff
  • Ensure effective patient treatment, referrals, and discharge planning
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and effective communication with the wider medical team

About the Hospital:
  • 172-bed modern, tertiary teaching facility
  • Servicing a catchment population of approximately 100,000
  • Comprehensive acute services including Emergency, General Medicine, Surgery, ICU, Mental Health, and Paediatrics
Key Requirements:
  • PGY2 or above
  • General Registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA
  • AMC Clinical 1 and 2 completed (or working towards)
  • Strong clinical, leadership, and communication skills
