Job Description

The Compass School serves 218 students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Our students are challenged to become problem solvers critical thinkers and life long learners. We offer children a continuous multiyear educational experience. An integrated project based curriculum provides the foundation to develop each individual as a cognitive physical social emotional and reflective responsibilities:Provide specially designed instruction for children with IEPsComplete educational evaluations/summaries as needed for new referrals and 3-year re-evaluationsWrite and implement data based IEPsParticipate in a variety of meetings including: referral eligibility MTSS grade level department committee and IEPCollect data on student progress report progress each trimester and use that data to drive instructionEnsure compliance with all regulations under IDEACommunicate regularly and collaboratively with colleagues and familiesOther tasks as assigned by Director of Student Services and/or School DirectorParticipate in a variety of meetings including: referral eligibility MTSS grade level department committee and IEPCollect data on student progress report progress each trimester and use that data to drive instructionInsure compliance with all regulations under IDEACommunicate regularly and collaboratively with colleagues and familiesOther tasks as assigned by Director of Student Services and/or School Director
