The American Lung Association has an excellent opportunity for a Manager Grassroots Advocacy and Patient Engagement. Working as a member of the Advocacy and Public Policy department you will join an outstanding group of professionals dedicated to our mission: to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research education and advocacy.
The person in this role is responsible for managing the recruitment training engagement and retention of volunteer advocates across the country to advance federal and state policies that seek to create a world free of lung disease. Work closely with Advocacy and Public Policy staff to identify advocates and patient stories maintain engagement in policy initiatives and manage year-round advocate engagement. Must be committed to recruiting and working closely with underserved communities.
A strong emphasis is placed on health equity with a focus on recruiting and building relationships within underserved and historically underrepresented communities. This is a grant-funded position and plays a critical role in driving patient-centered advocacy and advancing the mission of the American Lung Association.
Location: The position is located at the American Lung Associations Washington DC office and will be a hybrid of in-person and virtual work.
